Old Tree and Stream in the Snow

Another snow scene, but tis' the
season I've come to love here in New
England. I only wish there was more of
the white stuff in Rhode Island. Or
should I watch what I wish for? Anyway,
this old battered tree stood in a field
across from a road somewhere in the
state when we did have quite a
snowfall which almost entirely covered
the nearby stream.I love trying to
engage other senses besides just
sight in my artwork. I think my small oil
captures the crunchy snow surfaces,
and maybe the sound of burbling water
under the ice.
