Building a Snowman

This little watercolor was born from my
imagination, not by looking at actual people
or even with a photo reference. To invent
out of my head like that is very unusual for
me, yet in this case, memories of making a
snowman were so keen I was able to create
a scene which is part of just about every
American boy or girl's childhood. The scene
must resonate strongly with others too,
because the painting was bought almost
immediately off the wall of the holiday Little
Picture Show at the Providence Art Club.
Somebody got a piece of their childhood to
take home, and I've put it up on the website
to share with others as well.
